The challenge
The manuscripts run to hundreds of pages of right-to-left Hebrew, governed by house rules that are not negotiable: exactly three personal-work questions at the end of each section, numbered sources per section, APA citations, flowing literary Hebrew rather than translated-sounding prose, no cross-references between chapters, and no trace of machine-written cadence.
The real constraint is sourcing. The books quote Tanya, Chassidic and rabbinic texts, and peer-reviewed clinical research. A reference that merely looks plausible would be indefensible in front of the recovery community and the rabbinic readership these books are written for.
Generic AI assistance failed the same way every time. The rules held for one session and drifted by the next. She was re-teaching her own style daily, and reading every draft twice to catch silent edits to her own sentences.
